Description

Hello, my name is Aleksandra Tomić, I come from Vršac (Serbia). Vršac, also known as the “City under the Tower”, has long been known for its wines, vineyards and wine tourism. Suitable land and merging winds are ideal for the development of viticulture, and the Hungarian King Vladislav II had the opportunity to enjoy Vršac wines, back in 1494, and in 1796 Vršac vineyards were spread over an area of as much as 3,400 cadastral acres. In 1968, the wine cellar of “Vršac Vineyards”, with a capacity of 20 million liters, was completed. Currently, there are about 600 hectares under vineyards.

At the contact of the Carpathians and the Vršac vineyards is Gudurica, a village inhabited by as many as 14 different nations, which does not prevent them from enjoying the benefits of wine together. Italian Riesling, Chardonnay, Muscat Otonel, Merlot, Pinot Noir, are just some of the wines represented in this region.

We would be selfish if we kept the enjoyment of this drink to ourselves, so there are the Days of Grape Harvest, better known as Grožđebal (pictures 1, 2 and 3), an event that takes place every September in Vršac, where for three days people from from different parts can try different types of wine, enjoy local food, and we have not forgotten the youngest, who enjoy the charms of the amusement park, and for true wine lovers, there is a wine tour and a tour of wineries in Gudurica (pictures 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8)

Opis
