Summer Estate or Saturday of the Dead is a holiday dedicated to the dead and is celebrated 50 days after the Resurrection of the Lord, before Pentecost. The custom is to give alms cups filled with wine and clay pots full of rice, sarmale, pie, rolls, cage and cups cooked with cherries, biscuits, candies, flowers but there is no lack of corobățica-purple flower, specific to this holiday. With a lighted candle they give alms to those who have gone to the Lord.
Almsgiving is also called any act of almsgiving done for the remembrance and benefit of the dead, such as the clothes or things that are given to the poor and that are blessed by the priest through a special prayer.
These rituals can be performed at church or in the cemetery, when each tomb is consecrated.
Walnut leaves and linden branches are brought to the church, after the blessing they are placed on icons for the protection of the family.
Superstitions of summer estates: it is said that it is good to sleep in your own home to avoid problems, it is not good to go to the fountain or go through an isolated crossroads, so as not to meet the evil spirits. It is not good for women to knit, spin or sweep. If it rains, the harvest will be rich.

These customs complement our traditions and are well kept for the remembrance and sanctification of the dead in the family.

Moșii de vară sau Sâmbăta Morților este o sărbătoare dedicată morților și se sărbătorește la 50 de zile de la Învierea Domnului, înainte de Rusalii. Obiceiul este să se dea de pomană căni umplute cu vin, gătite cu cireșe și flori, vase de lut pline cu orez, sarmale, plăcintă, colaci, colivă, biscuiți și bomboane, dar nu lipsește corobățică-floarea mov, specifică acestei sărbători.
Cu o lumânare aprinsă se dau de pomană pentru cei plecați la Domnul.
Tot pomană se numește și orice faptă de milostenie făcută pentru pomenirea și folosul morților, ca de pildă hainele sau lucrurile care se dau săracilor și care sunt binecuvântate de preot printr-o molitvă deosebită.
Aceste ritualuri se pot face la biserică sau la cimitir, când se sfințește fiecare mormânt.
Se aduc la biserică frunze de nuc și ramuri de tei. După binecuvântare se pun la icoane pentru ocrotirea familiei.
Superstiții de moșii de vară: se spune că este bine să dormi în propria locuință pentru a nu avea probleme, nu este bine să mergi la fântană sau să treci printr-o răscruce de drumuri izolată, ca să nu întâlnești duhurile rele. Nu este bine ca femeile să tricoteze, să toarcă sau să măture. Dacă plouă recolta va fi bogată.

Das Sommer-Osterfest oder der Samstag der Toten ist ein Fest, das den Toten gewidmet ist und 50 Tage nach der Auferstehung, also noch vor Pfingsten, gefeiert wird. Der Brauch besteht darin, Geschenke zu geben. Gegeben werden Becher mit Wein, sowie Tontöpfen, die mit Reis, Sarmale, Kuchen, Colaci, Coliva, Keksen und Süßigkeiten gefüllt sind, wobei die für diesen Feiertag typische violette Kranzblume nicht fehlen darf.
Mit einer brennenden Kerze wird ein Almosen für diejenigen gegeben, die zum Herrn gegangen sind.
Dabei wird jede wohltätige Handlung, die zum Gedenken und zum Nutzen der Verstorbenen getan wird, wird auch als Almosen bezeichnet, wie z. B. Kleidung oder Dinge, die den Armen gegeben werden. Diese werden vom Priester mit einer speziellen molitvă gesegnet werden.
Diese Rituale können in der Kirche oder auf dem Friedhof durchgeführt werden, wenn jedes Grab geweiht wird.
Für das Fest werden Walnussblätter und Lindenzweige werden in die Kirche gebracht. Nach dem Segen werden sie zum Schutz der Familie auf Ikonen gelegt.
Aberglaube in der Sommertrauer: Es heißt, es sei gut, in der eigenen Wohnung zu schlafen, um Probleme zu vermeiden. Um böse Geister zu vermeiden, solle man nicht zum Brunnen gehen oder eine abgelegene Kreuzung überqueren. Es sei nicht gut für Frauen, zu stricken, zu stricken oder zu fegen. Wenn es regnet, soll die Ernte reich sein.
