Description
Opincile are a traditional type of footwear in the clothing of Moldovans, they were inherited from the Dacians. Both man and woman in the countryside wore them every season, usually with white woollen stockings. Opincile were not only an integral part of folk costumes, but were also worn by men at war.
The wide spread of the opinchi among Moldovans has led to this type of footwear being produced even today. They are made of a rectangular piece of leather, tightened on the foot with laces, which are also made of leather. The notches in the laces form a pointed toe. Nowadays, only in the south of Moldavia are there craftsmen who still make sticks for children and adults. This ancient craft of ophthalmic work is learnt in the family and continued from father to son.
Other neighbouring peoples of the Republic of Moldova also wear traditional folk costumes, such as the Albanians (opinga), Serbs, Croats (opanak), Bulgarians (opinka), etc. However, the opes worn by Moldovans are unique in the way they are made.
Intention
When I was a child, I also wore my “Opinca”on my feet. Nowadays, I only wear them together with the folk costume at various concerts, festivals or national holidays. Every Moldovan who has put on a traditional Moldovan costume, has necessarily put on a pair of “Opinca”as well. I am proud to be a Moldovan and I wear the “Opinca” with great pride when wearing the Moldovan folk costume. These cultural values we have passed on to our children and grandchildren.

Opincile sînt un tip tradițional de încălțăminte din vestimentația moldovenilor moștenite încă de la daci. Ele erau purtate la țară în fiecare anotimp atăt de femei cît și de barbați și se încălțau peste ciorapi de lînă albe. Opincile nu erau doar parte integrantă a costumelor populare, dar erau purtate de către bărbați și la război.
Răspîndirea atît de largă printre moldoveni a opincii a făcut ca acest tip de încălțăminte să fie confecționat și în zilele noastre. Ele sunt confecționate dintr-o bucată dreptunghiulară de piele, strânsă pe picior cu ajutorul șireturilor, care sînt confecționate tot din piele. Încrețiturile de la opinci formau un vîrf ascuțit. În prezent doar în sudul Moldovei sînt meșteri care mai confecționează opinci pentru mici și mari. Această veche meserie de opincar este învățată în familie și continuată din tată în fiu.
Și alte popoare vecine Republicii Moldova poartă la costumul popular tradițional, opinci: albanezii (opinga), sârbii, croații (opanak), bulgarii (opinka), etc. Insă opincile purtate de moldoveni sînt unice prin modul cum se confecționează. Doar pe partea exterioară a opincii prezintă încrețire.

Intenția
Pe cînd eram copilă, am purtat și eu opinci în picioare. În prezent, opincile le port doar împreună cu costumul popular la diferite concerte, festivalul sau sărbători naționale. Fiecare moldovean care a îmbrăcat un costum traditional moldovenesc, a încălțat neapărat și o pereche de opinci. Sînt măndră că sînt moldoveancă și încalț cu mare drag opicile la costumul popular moldovenesc. Aceste valori culturale le-am transmit atît copiilor cît și nepoților noștri

Opincile sind eine traditionelle Art von Schuhen in der Kleidung der Moldawier, dievon den Daker geerbt wurde. Die Schue wurden auf dem Land zu jeder Jahreszeit sowohl von Frauen als auch von Männern getragen, und zwar über weißen Wollstrümpfen. Opincile waren nicht nur ein fester Bestandteil der Volkstracht, sondern wurden auch von Männern im Krieg getragen.
Die weite Verbreitung der Opinchi unter den Moldawiern hat dazu geführt, dass diese Art von Schuhen auch heute noch hergestellt wird. Sie bestehen aus einem rechteckigen Stück Leder, das mit Schnürsenkeln, die ebenfalls aus Leder bestehen, am Fuß befestigt wird. Die Einkerbungen in den Schnürsenkeln formen eine spitze Zehe. Heutzutage gibt es nur noch im Süden der Republik Moldau Handwerker, die kleine und große Schuhe herstellen. Dieses alte Handwerk der Augenheilkunde wird in der Familie erlernt und vom Vater auf den Sohn übertragen.
Auch andere benachbarte Völker der Republik Moldau tragen traditionelle Trachten, wie z. B. die Albaner (opinga), Serben, Kroaten (opanak), Bulgaren (opinka) usw. Die von den Moldawiern getragenen Opes sind jedoch einzigartig in ihrer Machart.

Absicht
Als ich ein Kind war, trug ich meine Opincile auch an den Füßen. Heutzutage trage ich sie nur noch zusammen mit der Tracht bei verschiedenen Konzerten, Festivals oder nationalen Feiertagen. Jeder Moldawier, der eine moldawische Tracht trägt, hat zwangsläufig auch ein Paar Opinci angezogen. Ich bin stolz darauf, Moldawierin zu sein, und ich trage die Opics sehr gerne mit der moldawischen Tracht. Diese kulturellen Werte haben wir an unsere Kinder und Enkelkinder weitergegeben.
