Rose Festival

The festival is held in Kazanlak on the last Saturday of May, when the picking of roses in the valley is in full force. The day has a festive and entertaining character.
The program includes: 1) Rose picking ritual It involves amateur groups – mummers, singing and dancing groups for authentic folklore, the new Queen of Roses and 6 little companions. In the rose gardens, tourists are given the opportunity to take part in the process. 2) Procession of the Queen of Roses It starts from the rose gardens, passes through the streets of the town of Karlovo and reaches the central square, where on a special stage the cultural program continues. 3) Holiday in the Rose Valley It includes an official opening ceremony and a rich folklore program. 4) Demonstration of rose oil extraction and tasting of rose products In the Historical Museum in the city, in front of guests and citizens is demonstrated the process of rose oil extraction from the beginning of the last century. 5) Happy children’s afternoon As an innovative event, a children’s contest “Mini Miss Rose” is organized here. It is attended by children aged 4 to 8 years. 6) Festive fun This is the evening program that ends the Rose Festival in Karlovo. There is a rich and varied entertainment program for the citizens and guests of the city.

В розовите градини се осигурява възможност туристите сами да участват в процеса. 2) Шествие на Царицата на розите То тръгва от розовите градини, преминава по улиците на град Карлово и стига до централния площад, където на специална сцена продължава културната програма. 3) Празник в Розовата долина Включва официална церемония по откриването на Празника и богата фолклорна програма. 4) Демонстрация на розоварене и дегустация на продукти от роза В Историческия музей в града, пред гости и граждани се демонстрира процесът на розоварене от началото на миналия век. 5) Весел детски следобед Като иновативна проява тук се организира детски конкурс „Мини мис Роза”. В него участват деца на възраст от 4 до 8 години. 6) Празнично забавно веселие Това е вечерната програма, с която приключва Празникът на розата в Карлово. За гражданите и гостите на града е осигурена богата и разнообразна забавно-развлекателна програма.
Das Fest findet am letzten Samstag im Mai statt, wenn die Rosenernte im Tal in vollem Gange ist. Der Tag hat einen festlichen und unterhaltsamen Charakter.
Das Programm umfasst: 1) Ritual des Rosenpflückens: Daran beteiligt sind Amateurgruppen: Trommler, Gesangs- und Tanzgruppen für authentische Folklore, die neue Rosenkönigin und 6 kleine Begleiter. In den Rosengärten haben die Touristen die Möglichkeit, an diesem Ritual teilzunehmen. 2) Umzug der Rosenkönigin: Er beginnt in den Rosengärten, zieht durch die Straßen der Stadt Karlovo und erreicht den zentralen Platz, wo das Kulturprogramm auf einer besonderen Bühne fortgesetzt wird. 3) Feiertag im Rosental: Er umfasst eine offizielle Eröffnungsfeier und ein reichhaltiges Folkloreprogramm. 4) Demonstration der Rosenölgewinnung und Verkostung von Rosenprodukten: Im Historischen Museum der Stadt wird vor Gästen und Bürgern der Prozess der Rosenölgewinnung vom Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts vorgeführt. 5) Fröhlicher Kindernachmittag: Als innovative Veranstaltung wird hier ein Kinderwettbewerb “Mini Miss Rose” organisiert. Er wird von Kindern im Alter von 4 bis 8 Jahren besucht. 6) Festliche Unterhaltung: Das Abendprogramm bildet den Abschluss des Rosenfestes in Karlovo. Es gibt ein reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Unterhaltungsprogramm für die Bürger und Gäste der Stadt.
