Description
The chilabaua dance is one of the most rapid dances in the Republic of Moldova. It is practiced in the Southern region of the country, on the meadows of the Prut river. Here, this art of dancing represents a true value and is preserved as a treasure. The local people have it in their blood. The chilabaua dance consists of a hora (another national type of dance) step, and is usually danced by men, but sometimes with the presence of women. The most spectacular part is created by the sound of stomping on the floor in a specific rhythm, with a small jump in the middle of the move. The dance contains a lot of shouts, which urge the people around to dance as well. The group can dance the move itself numerous times, and in the meantime, there are solo parts as well. The dance was adapted by a lot of dance ensembles around the country, including the one of which I am a part of, and every time we are on the stage with this dance, everyone appreciates and loves it.
Intention
This cultural treasure is of a great value not just for me, but for our whole nation, that is why my wish to present it is strong. Dancing has become a part of my life, and it represents much more than just a treasure, it is a whole world in itself, where art of dance becomes colourful through the movements of our bodies. People around the world should witness it with their own eyes and ears to be able to appreciate it and to understand it, but I hope this video that I am attaching will spark your interest in our national culture. I wish that with the help of this project I can elevate the Moldovan culture to an international level, and show everyone that Moldova possesses a valuable and rich traditional treasure.

Dansul chilabaua este cel mai rapid și mai zvelt dans din Republica Moldova. Acesta este cel mai des dansat în regiunea de sud a Republicii, în lunca râului Prut. Aici, arta dansului reprezintă o valoare, și este păstrat drept o comoară adevărată, iar băștinașii au această artă în sângele lor. Dansul chilabaua implică un pas de horă și este cel mai des dansat de bărbați, dar cu prezența fetelor. Partea cea mai spectaculoasă este create de bătăile în podea în ritm specific, cu o mică săritură la mijlocul mișcării. Dansul conține și nenumărate strigături, care povestesc și îndeamnă la dans. În timp ce majoritatea grupului dansează, se execuă, de asemenea și părți coregrafice solo. Dansul a fost adaptat și preluat de numeroase ansambluri de dans din Republică, inclusiv de ansamblul în care dansez eu, iar de fiecare data când suntem pe scenă cu acest dans, ridicăm săli în picioare.
Intenție
Comoara culturală data este una de neprețuit atât pentru poporul nostru, cât și pentru mine personal, de aceea dorința de a o prezenta este una arzătoare. Dansul face parte din viața mea și reprezintă mult mai mult decât o comoară, reprezintă o lume aparte, unde arta prinde viață prin mișcarea corpului. Lumea ar trebui să vadă cu ochii lor și să asculte cu propriile urechi acest dans pentru a-l percepe mai bine și pentru a-l aprecia, însă eu sper că videoclipul atașat să trezească interesul tuturor. Doresc ca prin intermediul acestui proiect să etalez cultura moldovenească la un nivel international și să arăt tuturor că Moldova deține o comoară tradițională bogată și neprețuită.

Der Chilabaua-Tanz ist einer der schnellsten Tänze Moldawiens. Er wird in der südlichen Region des Landes, auf den Wiesen des Flusses Pruth, praktiziert. Hier repräsentiert diese Tanzkunst einen echten Wert und wird als echter Schatz betrachtet und bewahrt. Die Ortsansässigen haben den Tanz in ihrem Blut. Der Chilabaua-Tanz besteht aus einem Hora-Schritt (eine andere Art von nationalem Tanz) und wird normalerweise von Männern getanzt, aber manchmal auch mit Frauen zusammen. Der spektakulärste Teil wird durch den Klang der stampfenden Schritte, ausgeführt in einem spezifischen Rhythmus und mit einem kleinen Sprung in der Mitte der Bewegung, auf der Tanzfläche verursacht. Der Tanz beinhaltet viele laute Rufe, welche die Menschen drumherum anfeuern, ebenfalls zu tanzen. Die Tanzgruppe kann den Tanz mehrmals wiederholen. Währenddessen werden auch Solo-Parts getanzt. Der Tanz wurde von vielen Tanzgruppen im ganzen Land ins Repertoire aufgenommen, ebenso wie von der, bei der ich Mitglied bin. Und jedes Mal, wenn wir mit diesem Tanz auf der Bühne auftreten, wird er von allen geschätzt und geliebt.
Absicht
Dieser Kulturschatz ist von großen Wert, nicht nur für mich, sondern für die ganze Nation. Darum ist mein Wunsch, ihn zu präsentieren, so groß. Tanzen ist Teil meines Lebens geworden und es repräsentiert nicht nur einen Schatz, es ist eine eigene Welt für sich, in der Tanzkunst durch die Bewegungen unserer Körper Farbe erhält. Leute auf der ganzen Welt sollten es mit ihren eigenen Augen und Ohren erleben, um es schätzen und verstehen zu können. Aber ich hoffe, dass dieses Video, welches ich anhänge, das Interesse an unserer nationalen Kultur weckt. Ich wünsche mir, dass ich mit Hilfe dieses Projektes die moldawische Kultur auf ein internationales Level heben und allen zeigen kann, dass Moldawien wertvolle und reiche traditionelle Schätze besitzt.
