I was born in 1939. In the years following the war we did not have many toys. Instead, we used many things of daily life to play with. An elderly man in the neighbourhood collected stamps. Under his guidance I learned to appreciate them. I started to ask friends and relatives to collect used stamps and envelopes and to send me letters with many stamps when they travelled. I separated them from the envelopes, dried and sorted them and had my first albums.

For me it was soon important not only to collect stamps from the whole world but to distinguish between “normal” and special issue stamps. I recognized that stamps of all countries in Europe and oversees outdone each other with interesting topics and beautiful pictures, for example of animals, trains and sports. I decided to focus on stamps with famous people and with Berlin.

Intention

Collecting stamps is even today a widespread hobby liked by children, youngsters and adults. There are specialised dealers, auctions and clubs where you can get support with the collecting activities. Each country has its own collection relating to its special cultural background. Thus collecting stamps is very informative. The systematic and accurate administration of the collection is a good learning activity as well. I am convinced that collecting stamps is a valuable cultural treasure of transnational importance, worth preserving and passing on to others.

I have cultivated this hobby for many years and it makes me happy that even today there are still many enthusiasts sharing it with me.

Ich bin Jahrgang 1939. In den Nachkriegsjahren hatten wir wenig Spielzeug. Alltagsgegenstände waren willkommener Ersatz. Ein älterer Mann in der Nachbarschaft war Briefmarkensammler. Unter seiner Anleitung lernte ich die Postwertzeichen schätzen. Ich fing an, Freunde und Verwandte zu bitten, für mich Briefmarken und Briefumschläge zu sammeln und mir Karten mit vielen Marken zu schicken, wenn sie auf Reisen waren. Die Marken löste ich sorgfältig ab, trocknete und sortierte sie und legte erste Alben an.

Für mich ging es bald darum, nicht nur Marken aus aller Welt anzuhäufen, sondern zu unterscheiden zwischen Gebrauchs- und Sondermarken. Alsbald sah ich, dass die Ausgaben in Europa und Übersee sich in Thematik und Schönheit zu übertreffen versuchten, z. B. bei Tieren, Eisenbahnen und Sport. Für mich wurden Briefmarken mit Abbildungen von Persönlichkeiten aus Kultur und Politik und Berlin-Briefmarken ganz besonders wichtig.

Absicht

Briefmarkensammeln ist auch heute noch ein verbreitetes Hobby, das von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen gepflegt wird. Es gibt Fachgeschäfte, Versteigerungen und Vereine, um Marken zu kaufen oder zu tauschen und Unterstützung beim Sammeln zu erfahren. Jedes Land hat eigene Briefmarken-Kollektionen, die einen Eindruck in die jeweilige Kultur vermitteln. Das Sammeln ist deshalb äußerst lehrreich. Aber auch das systematische Pflegen von Sammlungen und die Sorgfalt, mit der dabei vorgegangen werden muss, sind wertvolle Lerninhalte. Dies ist ein länderübergreifender Kulturschatz, ein Lehr- und Lernstück, das es nach meiner Überzeugung zu wahren und weiterzugeben gilt.

Ich habe dieses Hobby viele Jahre begeistert gepflegt und freue mich, dass es auch heute viele begeisterte Anhänger/-innen hat.

M-am născut în 1939. În anii care au urmat războiului nu aveam multe jucării, in schimb, m-am delectat cu multe alte lucruri. De exemplu un bărbat mai in vârstă din cartierul in care locuiam a strâns timbre si sub îndrumarea lui am învățat să ii apreciez colectia. De aceea am cerut prietenilor și rudelor să strângă timbre și plicuri folosite și să-mi trimită scrisori timbrate. Eu am separat timbrele de plicuri,le-am sortat si asa am inceput sa am primele mele albume de timbre.

Pentru mine a fost foarte important să culeg timbre ștampilate din întreaga lume, dar in acelasi timp să fac distinctia intre ștampilele „normale” și cele speciale. Am remarcat că ștampilele din țările europene s-au întrecut reciproc cu subiecte interesante și imagini frumoase, de exemplu cu animale, trenuri și sport. Am decis să mă concentrez pe timbre cu oameni celebri și cu Berlinul.

Intenţie

Colectarea timbrelor este si astăzi un hobby răspândit si apreciat de copii, tineri și adulți. Există dealeri, licitații și cluburi specializate unde se poate obține sprijin in activitățile de colectare. Fiecare țară are propria colecție legată de mediul cultural. De aceea, colectarea timbrelor este informativa si o excelenta activitate de învățare. Sunt convins că adunarea si pastrarea timbrelor este o comoară culturală valoroasa , de importanță transnațională, demnă de păstrat și de transmis generatiilor viitoare. Am cultivat acest hobby de-a lungul anilor și mă simt fericit că și astăzi există încă mulți entuziaști care îl împărtășesc cu mine.

Роден съм през 1939 г. В следвоенните години нямахме много играчки. Ежедневните предмети бяха добре дошли като техни заместители. Един възрастен мъж в квартала беше колекционер на пощенски марки. Под неговото ръководство се научих да оценявам пощенските марки. Започнах да моля приятели и роднини да ми събират марки и пликове и да ми изпращат пощенски картички с много марки, когато пътуват. Отлепях внимателно на пара марките от пликовете, изсушавах ги и ги сортирах. Така направих първите си албуми.

За мен скоро стана важно не само да събирам пощенски марки от целия свят, но и да отделям „обикновените“ от „ценните“. Разбрах, че изданията в Европа и отвъд океана се състезават чрез интересни теми и красиви снимки, например, животни, влакове и спорт. Но за мен станаха особено ценни марките с изображения на Берлин и на известни личности от областите култура и политика.

Намерение

Събирането на пощенски марки е широко разпространено хоби, харесвано от деца, младежи и възрастни. Има специализирани магазини, търгове и клубове за закупуване или размяна на марки и получаване на помощ за колекционирането им. Всяка държава има свои собствени колекции от марки, които представят нейния специфичен културен произход. Следователно събирането на пощенски марки е изключително поучително. Но, също така, много полезни са знанията и уменията, необходими за постоянната поддръжка на колекциите. Убеден съм, че колекционирането на пощенки марки е транснационално културно съкровище, част от обучението и ученето, която трябва да бъде запазена и предавана на поколенията.
