„Under a weeping willow” is a religious folk song, with the theme of Easter.

The lyrics of the song capture one of the most painful moments of the life of the Mother of God, the moment when her beloved Son, Jesus Christ, is crucified. To make her pain more bearable, the Mother of God asks for a willow to allow her to weave a wreath from its branches. With that willow branch she replaces the crown of thorns on the Savior’s head.

Naturally, those who condemned him did not agree to mitigate his sentence at least a little. However, the willow remained with the branches down as a sign of pain.

We could also see the „priceasna” as a legend according to which the willow that once looked at the sky, ends up bowing its branches from the heights to the ground.

Willow leaves could also be associated with tears streaming down to the ground.

The verses of the „priceasna” capture the communion between man and nature. Nature becomes partaker of man’s pain.

Another tradition that involves the presence of willow in Lent is in the Palm Sunday, the Entry of the Savior Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.

Intention

„Pricesnele” for me are like prayers through which you can communicate with God. The song rises like a prayer to glory, it opens your soul to all that is uplifting, it is a mirror of the soul in which a patch of heaven washes its face. Some „pricesne”, such as “Willow,” recall moments in the life of the Savior Jesus Christ, and thus the verses of the song make your soul share in all that is most holy. That’s why some „pricesne” like “Willow” are so special to me.

Priceasna „Sub o salcie pletoasă“ are ca tematică Paștele.

Versurile cântecului surprind unul din cele mai dureroase momente ale vieții Maicii Domnului, momentul în care Fiul ei cel iubit, Iisus Hristos, a fost răstignit pe cruce. Pentru a-i face durerea mai suportabilă Maica Domnului se roagă de o salcie, un element al cadrului natural personificat, să îi dea voie să împletească o cunună din ramurile ei și să înlocuiască cununa de spini de pe capul Mântuitorului.

Cum era și firesc, cei care l-au osândit nu au acceptat să-i mai îndulcească măcar puțin pedeapsa, iar salcia a rămas cu crengile plecate ca semn al durerii.

Priceasna am putea să o vedem și ca pe o legendă potrivit căreia salcia ce odinioară privea spre cer, ajunge să-și plece crengile din înălțimi spre pământ. Până și frunzele salciei ar putea fi asociate cu niște lacrimi ce curg spre pământ.

Totodată, versurile pricesnei, surprind comuniunea dintre om și natură. Natura devine părtașă la durerea omului.

O altă tradiție ce implică prezența salciei în Postul Paștelui este de Florii, Intrarea Mântuitorului Iisus Hristos în Ierusalim.

„Sub o salcie pletoasă“ este o priceasnă ce este cântată de creștini în Postul Paștelui.

Intenție

Pricesnele pentru mine sunt asemenea unor rugăciuni prin care poți comunica cu Dumnezeu. Cântecul se înalță ca o rugăciune spre salavă, îți deschide sufletul spre tot ceea ce este înălțător, este o oglindă a sufletului în care își spală chipul un petec de cer. Unele pricesne ca de exemplu „Salcia“ rememorează momente din viața Mântuitorului Iius Hristos și astfel versurile cântecului îți fac sufletul să se împărtășească din tot ceea ce este mai sfânt. Din această cauză unele pricesne, ca de exemplu „Salcia“ sunt atât de speciale pentru mine.

“Unter einer Trauerweide” ist ein religiöses Oster Volkslied.

Der Text des Liedes beschreibt einen der schmerzlichsten Momente im Leben der Mutter Gottes, nämlich den Moment, als ihr geliebter Sohn, Jesus Christus, gekreuzigt wird. Um ihren Schmerz erträglicher zu machen, bittet die Mutter Gottes um eine Weide, aus deren Zweigen sie einen Kranz flechtet. Mit diesem Zweig ersetzt sie die Dornenkrone auf dem Haupt des Erlösers. Natürlich sind diejenigen, die Jesus verurteilen, mit der Milderung der Strafe durch den Weidenzweig nicht einverstanden.

Dennoch bleibt die Weide mit ihren herunterhängenden Zweigen ein Zeichen des Schmerzes.

Die Trauerweide hat eine Legende, nach der die Weide, die einmal in den Himmel geschaut hat, ihre Zweige von der Höhe zum Boden neigt.
Auch können die Weidenblätter fließenden mit Tränen assoziiert werden.

In den Versen des Liedes wird die Gemeinschaft zwischen Mensch und Natur dargestellt. Die Natur wird des Schmerzes des Menschen teilhaftig.

Eine weitere Tradition, welche die Weiden in der Fastenzeit beschreibt, ist der Palmsonntag, der Einzug des Erlösers Jesus Christus in Jerusalem.

Daher “Unter einer Trauerweide” ist ein Lied, das die Christen vor allem in der Fastenzeit singen.

Absicht

“Pricesnele” sind für mich wie Gebete, durch die man mit Gott kommunizieren kann. Das Lied erhebt sich wie ein Gebet zur Herrlichkeit, es öffnet die Seele für alles, was erbaulich ist, es ist ein Spiegel der Seele, in dem ein Fleck des Himmels sein Gesicht wäscht. Einige “Pricesnele”, wie z. B. “Willow”, erinnern an Momente im Leben des Erlösers Jesus Christus, und so lassen die Strophen des Liedes deine Seele an allem teilhaben, was höchst heilig ist. Deshalb sind einige “Pricesne” wie “Willow” für mich so besonders.
