Description
The Bonfire is a big fire to cast out the winter. It is attributed to be of pagan or Germanic origin. Another version is that the spark fire ends the “Fasnet” (carnival) with its wild goings-on, because it traditionally takes place on the 1st Sunday after Ash Wednesday. Therefore, this day is also called “Funken-Sunday” in many Swabian regions.
Since the “Funken” (pile of brushwood) mostly consists exclusively of the Christmas trees of the whole village – it burns naturally like tinder and the sparks whirl high into the sky… And no matter which origin or sense you attribute to the spark fire, it is a nice custom for us – homely and warming at the same time! It reminds me of many beautiful evenings we spent there with our children and with our friends – such a big fire makes all children’s eyes shine and also for the adults it awakens the anticipation of the flowers and the warming sun in spring and in general of the warm and bright season.
Intention
It is a wonderful old custom, which is important and worth preserving because it reminds us that after every long and cold winter, spring returns, the flowers bloom again and the trees bud again! There is something connecting with nature and the forces of nature but also something peaceful and warming – you meet with your families, friends and acquaintances, neighbours, former school friends or colleagues. There is no hustle and bustle – no party and hectic! Instead, the fire radiates peace and comfort, it warms and you take time for each other over a cup of punch, mulled wine or tea. It “decelerates” life for a few hours.
Beschreibung
Das Funkenfeuer ist ein großes Feuer zur Austreibung des Winters. Es wird heidnischem bzw. germanischem Ursprung zugesprochen. Eine andere Version ist, dass das Funkenfeuer die „Fasnet“ (Fasching) mit seinem wilden Treiben beendet, denn es findet traditionell am 1. Sonntag nach dem Aschermittwoch statt. Deshalb heißt dieser Tag in vielen schwäbischen Regionen auch „Funken-Sonntag“.
Da der „Funken“ (Reisighaufen) zumeist ausschließlich aus den Christbäumen des ganzen Dorfes besteht, brennt dieser natürlich wie Zunder und die Funken wirbeln hoch in den Himmel… Und egal welchen Ursprung oder Sinn man dem Funkenfeuer zuspricht, es ist für uns ein schöner Brauch – heimelig und wärmend zugleich! Es erinnert mich an viele schöne Abende, die wir dort mit unseren Kindern und im Kreise unserer Freunde verbracht haben – ein so großes Feuer bringt alle Kinderaugen zum Leuchten, und auch bei den Erwachsenen weckt es die Vorfreude auf die Blumen und die wärmende Sonne im Frühling und insgesamt auf die warme und helle Jahreszeit.
Absicht
Es ist ein wunderschöner alter Brauch, der für uns wichtig und erhaltenswert ist, weil er einem immer wieder vor Augen führt, dass nach jedem kalten und langen Winter der Frühling wiederkommt, die Blumen wieder blühen und die Bäume wieder ausschlagen! Es hat etwas Verbindendes mit der Natur und den Naturgewalten, aber auch etwas Friedvolles und Wärmendes – man trifft sich mit den Familien, mit Freunden und Bekannten, Nachbarn, ehemaligen Schulfreunden oder Kollegen. Es gibt dort keinen Rummel und Trubel – keine Party und Hektik! Das Feuer strahlt vielmehr Ruhe und Behaglichkeit aus, es wärmt, und man nimmt sich bei einem Becher Punsch, Glühwein oder Tee Zeit füreinander. Es „entschleunigt“ das Leben für ein paar Stunden.

Focul de scânteie este un foc mare pentru a alunga iarna. Este considerat a fi de origine păgână sau germanică. O altă versiune este că focul de scânteie pune capăt „carnavalului” cu acțiunile sale sălbatice, deoarece în mod tradițional are loc în prima duminică după Miercurea Cenușii. De aceea, această zi în multe regiuni din zona svăbească se numește„duminica scânteii”. Ȋntrucât „scânteia” (lemnul -vreascurile) constă în cea mai mare parte exclusiv din pomii de Crăciun din întreg satul – arde desigur ca și scândura, iar scânteile se răsucesc în cer … Și indiferent ce origine sau semnificație este atribuită focului de scânteie, este pentru noi un obicei frumos – confortabil și cald în același timp! Îmi amintește de multe seri frumoase pe care le-am petrecut acolo împreună cu copiii și cu prietenii – un foc atât de mare luminează ochii tuturor copiilor și, de asemenea, pentru adulți,le trezeşte bucuria anticipată pentru florile și soarele încălzitor de primăvară și, în general pentru anotimpul cald și luminos.
Intenție
Este un obicei vechi frumos, care este important pentru noi și merită păstrat, pentru că ne arată din nou și din nou că după fiecare iarnă rece și lungă vine primăvara, florile înfloresc din nou, iar copacii înverzesc! Are ceva în comun cu natura și forțele naturii, dar și ceva pașnic și călduros – vă întâlniți cu familii, prieteni și cunoscuți, vecini, foști prieteni de școala sau colegi. Nu există forfotăsi hărmălaie – nu există petrecere și agitație! Focul radiază linişte și confort, te încălzește și îți faci timp unul pentru celălalt la o cană de vin fiert, sau ceai. Acesta „încetinește” viața pentru timp de câteva ore.

Огънят е символ на изгонването на зимата. Смята се, че има езически или германски произход. Друга версия е, че огънят с искри (искрящият огън) завършва карнавала „Фаснета“ с неговите диви събития, защото традиционно се провежда в първата неделя след Пепеляната сряда. Ето защо, в много швабски региони този ден се нарича още „Искряща неделя“.
Тъй като кладата за огъня се прави най-вече от коледните елхи на цялото село, то тя гори много силно и искрите се вихрят високо в небето … И без значение е какъв произход или усещане придавате на искрящия огън, то това е хубав обичай за нас – домашен и сгряващ едновременно! Това ми напомня за многото красиви вечери, които прекарахме край искрите на огъня с нашите деца и с нашите приятели – такъв голям огън кара очите на всички деца да блестят, а у възрастните събужда очакването за пролетта с цветята и затоплящото слънце и, като цяло, очакването за топъл и светъл сезон.
Намерение
Това е прекрасен стар обичай, който е важен и си струва да се запази, защото ни напомня, че след всяка дълга и студена зима пролетта се завръща, цветята и дърветата отново цъфтят! Има нещо свързано с природата и нейната сила, но също така и нещо спокойно и стоплящо – срещате се с членовете на семействата си, приятели и познати, съседи, бивши приятели от училище или колеги. Няма шум и суета! По-скоро огънят излъчва спокойствие и уют. Той ви затопля и вие отделяте време един за друг над чаша пунш, греяно вино или чай. Той „забавя” живота за няколко часа.
