“Periniţa”, a dance of love and joy, started as a wedding custom in the villageS of Bătrâni in Prahova, when the bride displayed her dowry and skill to the groom and wedding participants. Gradually, the dance exceeded the borders of the village, of the county and of Romania, being present even today at the parties.
Probably there are no Romanians who have not played or seen at least once the “periniţa”, the folk dance that is played in a circle, in an alert rhythm, in which a girl goes out in the center, holding a handkerchief in her hand, she chooses a boy with whom kneels on the handkerchief and kisses him, and then the boy chooses another girl and repeats the same actions. The popular game has become so widespread that it has entered the international circuit. The story of “Periniţa” started as a ritual dance from the wedding ceremony that turned, in time, into a very popular social game.

I really like to dance, and especially the “perinita” on different occasions. It’s a dance appreciated by all the people!

„Periniţa“, dans al dragostei şi al bucuriei, a început ca un obicei de nuntă din comuna prahoveană Bătrâni, când mireasa îşi etala nuntaşilor zestrea, dar şi îndemânarea. Treptat, a depăşit graniţele satului, ale judeţului şi ale României, fiind nelipsit şi astăzi de la petreceri.
Probabil că nu există români care să nu fi jucat sau să fi văzut măcar o dată „periniţa“, dansul popular care se joacă în cerc, într-un ritm alert, în care o fată iese în centru, ţinând în mână o batistă, îşi alege un băiat cu care îngenunchează pe această batistă şi îl sărută, urmând ca băiatul să-şi aleagă altă fată şi să repete aceleaşi acţiuni. Jocul popular a devenit atât de răspândit încât a intrat în circuitul internaţional. Povestea „Periniţei“ a început ca un dans ritual din ceremonialul nupţial care s-a transformat, în timp, într-un joc social foarte îndrăgit.

Îmi place foarte mult să dansez, şi în mod special, periniţa la diferite ocazii. E un dans apreciat de toţi oamenii!

“Perinița”, der Tanz der Liebe und der Freude, begann als Hochzeitsbrauch im Dorf Bătrâni in der Provinz Prahova, bei dem die Braut dem Bräutigamen ihre Mitgift und ihr Können vorführte. Nach und nach verbreitete sie sich über die Grenzen des Dorfes, des Komitats und Rumäniens hinaus und ist auch heute noch ein alltäglicher Anblick bei Festen.
Es gibt wohl keinen Rumänen, der nicht mindestens einmal den “perinița” gespielt oder gesehen hat, den beliebten Tanz, der in einem Kreis in schnellem Tempo gespielt wird, bei dem ein Mädchen in der Mitte herauskommt, ein Taschentuch in der Hand hält, einen Jungen wählt, mit dem sie auf diesem Taschentuch kniet und ihn küsst, und dann wählt der Junge ein anderes Mädchen und wiederholt die gleichen Handlungen. Das beliebte Spiel hat sich so weit verbreitet, dass es inzwischen auch auf internationaler Ebene gespielt wird. Die Geschichte der “Perinița” begann als ritueller Tanz bei der Hochzeitszeremonie, der sich mit der Zeit zu einem beliebten Gesellschaftsspiel entwickelte.
Absicht
Ich liebe es zu tanzen, und vor allem die perinița bei verschiedenen Anlässen. Es ist ein Tanz, den alle Menschen schätzen!
