When I was a child, I watched my grandmother weaving every day on the loom she brought from Macedonia. My father is from Macedonia and my mother is from Lika, Bosnia, where the skill of hand-weaving in village houses has also been highly developed. Weaving technique is a skill that can be learned, but creations are something that needs imagination and creativity. My curtains, tablecloths, clothes, dresses and wedding dresses are unique. They are first woven in my imagination, and only then on the weaving-loom.
Previously, especially in the villages of Serbian Pannonia, almost every house had a loom for weaving. Today, however, they have become a rarity. My home in Novi Sad is an exception to this, as there are several looms for weaving. I have created true art from this weaving skill. My husband, Andon, also knows how to weave, and he made all the loots on which I weave. On these weaving looms 150 different motifs can be made. It is unique not only in our region but in the world, as well.
Intention
I want to introduce weaving, loom for weaving and the techniques, so that new generations can start and continue to learn and practice this beautiful art and skill, which represents our region, creativity and unique art.

U detinjstvu sam posmatrala svoju baku kako svaki dan tka na razboju koji je donela iz Makedonije. Moj otac je iz Makedonije, a majka iz Like, u Bosni, gde je veština ručnog tkanja u seoskim kućama oduvek bila veoma razvijena. Iako je tehnika tkanja veština koja se može naučiti, kreacije i produkti su nešto za šta su nam potrebni mašta i kreativnost. Moje zavese, stolnjaci, odeća, haljine i venčanice su jedinstvene. Prvo su istkane u mojoj mašti, a tek onda ih prenosim na tkački razboj.
Ranije, posebno u selima srpske Panonije, skoro svaka kuća imala je tkački razboj. Danas su, međutim, postali retkost. Moja kuća u Novom Sadu je izuzetak, jer imamo čak nekoliko tkačkih razboja. Na njima stvaram pravu umetnost. Moj suprug Andon takođe zna tkati, a upravo je on napravio sve razboje koje imamo i na kojima radim. Na tim razbojima može se napraviti i do 150 različitih motiva. Jedinstveni su ne samo u našoj regiji, već i u svetu.
Namera
Namera mi je da predstavim tkanje kao zanat i specifičnu veštinu, tkački razboj i tehnike tkanja, kako bi nove generacije počele, a potom i nastavile, da uče i praktikuju ovu prelepu umetnost i veštinu, koja je karakteristična i specifična za naš region, a promoviše kreativnost i jedinstvenu umetnost.

Als Kind sah ich meiner Großmutter tagtäglich beim Weben zu. Ihren Webstuhl hatte sie aus Mazedonien mitgebracht. Mein Vater stammt aus Mazedonien und meine Mutter kommt aus Lika in Bosnien, wo die Fähigkeit des Webens mit der Hand in den Häusern der Dörfer ebenfalls sehr verbreitet ist. Das Weben ist eine Technik, die erlernt werden kann, aber was dabei entsteht, ist auch ein Ergebnis von Imagination und Kreativität. Meine Vorhänge, Tischdecken, Kleidung, Kleider und Hochzeitskleider sind Unikate. Ich webe sie zuerst in meiner Imagination und erst dann mit meinem Webstuhl.
Früher hatte fast jedes Haus eines Dorfes in der serbischen Provinz Pannonia einen Webstuhl. Heute ist das selten geworden. Mein Zuhause in Novi Sad ist da eine Ausnahme, ich habe sogar mehrere Webstühle. Ich habe aus meiner Fähigkeit zu weben eine Kunst gemacht. Mein Ehemann Andon kann ebenfalls weben, und er fertigt alle Webstühle an, auf denen ich webe. Mit diesen Webstühlen kann ich über 150 verschiedene Motive anfertigen. Das ist nicht nur in unserer Region außergewöhnlich, sondern sogar auf der ganzen Welt.
Absicht
Ich möchte das Weben, Webstuhl für Webstuhl und die Techniken vorstellen, damit neue Generationen beginnen und diese schöne Kunst und Fertigkeit, die unsere Region mit Kreativität und einzigartiger Kunst repräsentiert, erlernen und praktizieren können.
